How my hobby turned professional

In the kitchen

From the time Chef Pam McDonald could stand on a chair and cook alongside her mother, she had found her home in the kitchen. As her interest and skills grew, no recipes were off limits when it came to the adventure of cooking.

Hobby turned professional in 1985 when she graduated from George Brown’s prestigious Culinary Management Program. Since then, Pam's eclectic style and taste continue to attract attention from celebrities to national television shows. She has appeared on the Food Network Canada, the Life Network and Global Television.

She developed and taught sold-out classes for Centro, the St. Lawrence Market Cooking Series, Williams-Sonoma, LCBO Burlington/Toronto, Dish Cooking Studio and Nella Cucina. Her fun and interactive style has been featured in the LCBO magazine, National Post, Elle and Chatelaine magazine.

Bring the restaurant to you

Your chef, Pamela McDonald, will encourage you to know and explore your palate. The resulting menu will be developed so that it reflects your palate, and takes you and your guests on a culinary journey. I feel all food should have “good eatability”, and use fresh, healthy, and natural ingredients to achieve this.

Pam has provided personal chef services in Toronto's, Rosedale and Forest Hill area, as well as, the Oakville, Burlington area. Her personal chef travel destinations include Muskoka and the US for client-specific events.
